NEW: Very Challenging Behaviours Webinar

Back to events
10 June 2025 17:00-18:30 Online

This is a NEW 90-minute course to help you better support students demonstrating very challenging behaviours, most often seen in pupil referral units (PRUs) special schools and alternative provisions (APs), but increasingly in mainstream schools. The course covers:

  • What constitutes a serious behavioural challenge?

  • Why children present serious behavioural challenges

  • A range of teaching strategies to avoid children escalating to these serious behaviours

  • Practical de-escalation strategies

A range of excellent videos are signposted. Supporting notes are supplied after the course.

Note! Please READ all of the following carefully BEFORE you book a place.

Course Requirements:

  • You can join the meeting from 10 minutes before the advertised start time.

  • You should be in a private room, on your own, with no distractions (including children) – You will need to have your camera switched on and be CLEARLY VISIBLE for the full duration of the course.

  • Your name must be accurately displayed on screen.

  • You will need a device with a WORKING microphone, a front facing camera and a stable internet connection.

  • Please add a line about your experience working with children in the Zoom ‘chat’ on arrival. Thank you.

If you are unable to FULLY ATTEND please rebook for when you have suitable availability / can fully participate throughout.

Erratic participation resulting from inappropriate compliance with course requirements may result in you be removed from the course / denial of certification as it may undermine the value of the course to yourself and distracts other attendees and the course leader. Thank you for your understanding.

IMPORTANT! The Zoom invite will be sent directly to your email address a few days prior to the event. Please check your junk mail folder and if you have not received it by the start of the week in which the training will take place, contact your consultant. If you book late, your invite will be sent just before the course starts. If you have not received it by 9 a.m. on the day of the course, contact your consultant. It is unlikely that a duplicate invite can be sent after the course has started.
