Are you a passionate and resilient Teacher looking to make a genuine impact in a therapeutic SEMH environment? Whether you are a Primary Teacher or a subject specialist in English, Maths, Science, Humanities, PE, Art, Design Technology, ICT, or another subject, this is an opportunity to apply your expertise within a supportive, relationship-led setting.
Simply Education is recruiting for a Teacher to work within a specialist SEMH school that prides itself on a highly therapeutic ethos. The school combines structured academic learning with emotional and behavioural support, ensuring pupils can re-engage with education in a meaningful way.
About the Role
As a teacher, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team including therapists, pastoral staff, and Teaching Assistants to deliver a holistic and nurturing educational experience.
The school follows a mainstream curriculum, meaning a teacher from a mainstream background (such as a Primary Teacher, English Teacher, Maths Teacher, Science Teacher, Humanities Teacher, PE Teacher, Art Teacher, ICT Teacher, etc.) can make a smooth and rewarding transition into this setting.
Your role will include:
* Delivering engaging lessons within your subject specialism or across the primary curriculum, adapted to meet individual needs * Supporting pupils to access learning through differentiated, mainstream curriculum pathways * Building consistent, trusting relationships that promote emotional safety and regulation * Applying therapeutic approaches such as restorative practice and trauma-informed care * Supporting small group and 1:1 interventions for both academic and emotional development * Helping pupils develop coping strategies, resilience, and positive behaviours for learning
* Managing and de-escalating behaviours through calm, reflective, and supportive responses
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a Teacher who: * Holds QTS/QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification * Has experience as a Primary Teacher or within a subject specialism (e.g. English, Maths, Science, Humanities, PE, Art, etc.) * Understands or is willing to learn about a therapy-led approach to education * Can confidently adapt a mainstream curriculum to meet diverse needs * Builds strong, professional relationships with pupils who may have experienced adversity * Remains calm, patient, and adaptable in challenging situations * Is committed to ongoing learning and reflective practice
What We Offer
As a teacher, you will benefit from:
* Smaller class sizes with teaching assistants to support you meaning you have more time to focus on teaching
A supportive, therapy-led school environment * Ongoing CPD in SEMH, trauma-informed practice, and behaviour support * A collaborative team of education and therapeutic professionals * A temp-to-perm opportunity offering long-term career progression * The chance to make a lasting difference in young people's lives
