Art Teacher - Secondary Schools
Role: Art Teacher (Secondary Education)
Salary: £150 - £200 per day (dependent on experience)
Location: Stockport, Greater Manchester
Start Date: September 2025
Simply Education is seeking a dedicated and creative Art Teacher to join our outstanding partner secondary schools in Stockport this September. The Opportunity
This role is ideal for a passionate Art educator who thrives in dynamic classroom environments. You will be responsible for delivering engaging Art lessons that challenge and motivate pupils of all abilities, encouraging them to explore a range of techniques, mediums, and creative disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver imaginative and inclusive Art lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Foster a creative and supportive classroom environment where students feel confident to express themselves.
- Incorporate a variety of artistic techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media.
- Track student progress through assessment and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with the Art department and contribute to whole-school enrichment activities, including exhibitions and creative projects.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Specialism in Art or Art & Design with demonstrable subject knowledge.
- A strong portfolio of creative work and evidence of effective lesson planning.
- Ability to engage students and promote a love for the visual arts.
- Strong classroom management skills and high expectations for behaviour and effort.
- Open to applications from both ECTs and experienced teachers.
