Location: Cheshire East & Cheshire West and Chester
Salary: £130 - £170 per day (Pre AWR Rate) dependent on prior experience
Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Term Time Only)
Contract Type: Full-Time and Part-Time, Term Time Only
Start Date: September 2025
Job Description:
As a Art Teacher, you will be delivering subject-specific lessons in special needs provisions across Cheshire. These roles are ideal for teachers passionate about special educational needs (SEN), working within education environments that focus on inclusive, supportive, and tailored learning. Whether you're an experienced SEN teacher or new to the field, this opportunity allows you to work term time only, with weekly pay, and develop your teaching skills.
Key areas include working with students with autism, ADHD, SEMH, and more, ensuring each learner receives the care and attention they need to thrive.
Our roles suit professionals with experience or interest in SEN, special educational needs, special needs, teaching, senco, or anyone wanting to make a difference.
Simply Education is currently recruiting Art Teachers to work in special educational needs (SEN) schools across Cheshire East & Cheshire West. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin or further your career in education, supporting children with a wide range of special educational needs in a school setting.
The role of a Art Teacher is essential in helping pupils access meaningful education and personal development. As a Art Teacher, you will be supporting students in Cheshire East & Cheshire West with a variety of additional needs such as:
- Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC)
- ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
- Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
- Sensory Processing Difficulties
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support in the classroom
- Assist with individual education plans (IEPs) and learning activities
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage emotional regulation
- Support students in developing independence and confidence
- Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and families
