About the Role
Simply Education is looking for passionate and dedicated Childcare Practitioners to join a reputable early years setting in Preston (PR26 7SN). This nursery provides a safe, warm, and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years, where they are supported in their development through engaging, hands-on activities that promote both learning and play. With a strong focus on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, the nursery ensures that every child's needs are met, helping them grow emotionally, socially, and cognitively.

As a Childcare Practitioner, you will be responsible for implementing the EYFS framework, providing creative learning opportunities, and ensuring that children are supported in their developmental milestones. Whether you're seeking supply, short-term, or long-term roles, this setting offers flexible hours, with many positions having the potential to lead to permanent roles.

Requirements

  • Minimum six months' experience in a nursery or early years setting (enthusiastic newcomers are encouraged to apply).
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Ability to provide a 10-year checkable work and education history.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Willingness to complete two years of referencing and undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

  • Create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children aged 0-5 years.
  • Support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum, planning and facilitating age-appropriate activities.
  • Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development through structured play and creative learning.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children under your care.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of care and education.
