About the Role
Simply Education is currently looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Childcare Practitioners to join an outstanding early years setting in Manchester (M6 8AL). This nursery offers a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment where children aged 0-5 years are given the opportunity to develop socially, emotionally, and academically. The setting provides high-quality early education, guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, ensuring children's holistic development is nurtured in every aspect.

As a Childcare Practitioner, you will play a key role in creating a safe and engaging environment, delivering age-appropriate learning activities, and supporting the emotional and cognitive growth of the children. With opportunities for supply, short-term, and long-term placements, you will have the flexibility to choose a role that suits your career goals, many of which offer the potential for permanent positions.

Requirements

  • Minimum six months' experience in a nursery or early years setting (enthusiastic newcomers are encouraged to apply).
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Ability to provide a 10-year checkable work and education history.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Willingness to complete two years of referencing and undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children aged 0-5 years.
  • Support the implementation of the EYFS curriculum, delivering structured activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Foster communication and social skills through guided learning and creative play.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children at all times.
  • Actively contribute to team discussions and work collaboratively to improve the learning environment.
