About the Role
Simply Education is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Childcare Practitioners to join a highly respected early years setting in Oldham (OL2 8AP). This nursery offers a warm, caring, and engaging environment where children aged 0-5 years are encouraged to explore and learn through hands-on activities. The setting is committed to delivering high-quality education based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, ensuring every child's developmental needs are met in a safe and nurturing space.

As a Childcare Practitioner, you will be responsible for supporting the EYFS framework, delivering creative and structured activities that promote children's cognitive, social, and emotional development. With flexible opportunities available, you can choose between supply, short-term, or long-term roles, many of which have the potential to lead to permanent placements.

Requirements

  • Minimum six months' experience in a nursery or early years setting (enthusiastic newcomers are encouraged to apply).
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Ability to provide a 10-year checkable work and education history.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Willingness to complete two years of referencing and undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years.
  • Support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum, planning and implementing structured learning activities.
  • Foster communication, social, and cognitive development through creative play and hands-on learning experiences.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, ensuring effective teamwork and communication.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children at all times.
  • Work alongside the team to improve the setting and ensure the best possible outcomes for the children in your care.
