About the Role
Simply Education is looking for passionate and dedicated Childcare Practitioners to join a reputable early years setting in Manchester (M27 8RH). This nursery is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children aged 0-5 years, fostering their emotional, social, and educational growth through age-appropriate activities and play. The setting adheres to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, ensuring that each child's development is supported in a holistic manner.

As a Childcare Practitioner, you will be responsible for implementing the EYFS framework, delivering creative learning activities, and creating an environment that encourages children to explore, learn, and grow. This opportunity offers flexible working hours, with roles available on a supply, short-term, and long-term basis, many of which have the potential to lead to permanent positions.

Requirements

  • Minimum six months' experience in a nursery or early years setting (enthusiastic newcomers are encouraged to apply).
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Ability to provide a 10-year checkable work and education history.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Willingness to complete two years of referencing and undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years.
  • Support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum, planning and facilitating age-appropriate activities.
  • Encourage the development of communication, social, and cognitive skills through structured play.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children under your care.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a high standard of care and education.
