Key Responsibilities - Cover Supervisor Role

• Deliver structured, pre-planned lessons created by qualified teaching staff.

• Promote positive behaviour for learning and maintain a focused, inclusive classroom climate.

• Use effective behaviour management strategies in line with whole-school policies.

• Provide learning support and ensure learners remain engaged and on task.

• Demonstrate adaptability when supervising a range of subjects and year groups.

• Build positive relationships with students, fostering respect, resilience, and independence.

Who We're Looking For

• Experience working with young people in settings such as tutoring, coaching, mentoring, youth work, childcare, or schools.

• Confident in leading a classroom and delivering pre-set learning activities.

• Strong communication skills with a calm, student-centred approach.

• Ability to adapt quickly to different learning environments within a secondary school.

• Passionate about supporting pupil progress, wellbeing, and engagement.

• A degree or relevant education experience is advantageous but not essential.
