Role: Cover Supervisor
Location: Wigan
Salary: £120 - £150 per day

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of teaching staff. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engaging pre-planned lessons and ensuring pupils remain on task

  • Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a calm, focused learning environment

  • Supporting students with their work where required

  • Taking accurate registers and providing clear feedback to teaching staff

  • Working collaboratively with teachers and wider school teams

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Have previous experience working within a UK secondary school setting

  • Be confident in managing classroom behaviour effectively

  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Have a genuine passion for supporting young people in education

  • Be able to provide suitable references

  • Hold a valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)

  • Have the Right to Work in the UK
