Pay: £130 - £150 Per day, dependent on payroll choice

We are looking for a passionate Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join our team at an independent special needs school on the Wirral. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to gain valuable experience while supporting students in rebuilding their confidence and engaging with their education.
About the School:
This small provision caters for young people aged 11-14 who have faced disruptions in their education. The school focuses on rebuilding students' confidence and self-esteem through a multi-agency approach, combining academic support with emotional and therapeutic development.
With a capacity for 32 students (currently 12 on roll), the school offers small class sizes (3-5 pupils) and a high staff-to-student ratio. Students also take part in enriching activities such as horse riding, team-building, and vocational training in beauty and hairdressing, gaining life skills alongside their academic learning.
Your Role as an Early Career Teacher (ECT):
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students.
- Provide support to students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs, creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to engage students and promote learning in various subjects.
- Build positive relationships with students to boost their confidence and self-esteem.
- Differentiate lesson content to ensure all students can access the curriculum and make progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to implement personalised education plans.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a passion for supporting students with additional needs.
- A willingness to learn, grow, and develop your teaching skills as an Early Career Teacher.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
- A proactive attitude and a commitment to helping students re-engage with their education.
