English Teacher - Secondary (Macclesfield Area)
£160-£220 per day | Full-Time or Part-Time

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons across KS3 and KS4.

  • Teach both English Language and Literature in line with the national curriculum.

  • Use effective assessment for learning strategies to monitor pupil progress.

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and literacy-rich classroom environment.

  • Implement strong behaviour for learning approaches aligned with school policy.

  • Support students with exam preparation, extended writing, and analytical skills.

  • Contribute to curriculum planning, departmental projects, and whole-school literacy initiatives.


What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or a relevant teaching qualification.

  • Strong subject knowledge across English Language and Literature.

  • Ability to deliver high-impact teaching and learning.

  • Excellent communication, planning, and organisation skills.

  • Effective behaviour management and a student-centred approach.

  • Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school (preferred).
