A leading Alternative Provision (AP) school supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are looking for two experienced Teaching Assistants to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in managing emotions and accessing learning

  • Deliver targeted interventions and mentoring

  • Work closely with teachers to create personalised learning plans

  • Promote positive behaviour and resilience

  • Help maintain a calm and safe learning environment

Must-Have Skills:

  • Experience working in an SEMH or Alternative Provision setting

  • Excellent behaviour management and de-escalation skills

  • Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff

  • GCSEs in Maths and English

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience delivering small group or 1:1 interventions

  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practice

  • Safeguarding and child protection training

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning

  • Experience liaising with external agencies and families
