EYFS Teacher

Job description

The Role:

We are looking for a qualified and passionate EYFS Teacher to lead our nursery provision. You will take full responsibility for the planning, assessment, and delivery of high-quality education for children aged 3-4, preparing them for a smooth transition to Reception. The role is a full time, long term position starting in January with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

This is an "Outstanding" Ofsted-rated nursery where art, nature, and discovery are central to the curriculum. Their setting is filled with natural materials, open-ended resources, and spaces designed to inspire creativity and collaboration. The nursery highly values reflective practice and staff well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver inspiring and structured EYFS lessons

  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress

  • Maintain a well-organised and child-centred learning environment

  • Work closely with teaching assistants and SEN staff

  • Engage with families and contribute to wider school life

Prerequisites / Requirements:

  • QTS or EYTS (essential)

  • Experience in a school or maintained nursery setting

  • Strong understanding of early literacy, numeracy, and phonics development

  • Experience working with SEND and EAL pupils (desirable)

  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
