About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our successful Humanities department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Geography and the ability to inspire curiosity about the world around us. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that engage students and foster a love of learning from Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 5 (if applicable).
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Assess, record, and report on students' progress and attainment.
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning.
Create a stimulating classroom environment that supports all learners.
Participate in wider school activities, including field trips and enrichment opportunities.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote the school's values and academic standards.
Person Specification
Essential:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree in Geography or a related subject.
Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum requirements.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Desirable:
Experience teaching GCSE and/or A-level Geography.
Willingness to contribute to extracurricular and fieldwork activities.
