Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - PPA Cover

Simply Education is seeking a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to provide PPA cover across primary schools in Huntingdon. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified HLTA who is passionate about supporting primary education and delivering high-quality lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.

This flexible supply role is ideal for professionals who enjoy variety and are confident leading whole-class teaching.

The Role

As a HLTA providing PPA cover, you will:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2
• Lead whole-class teaching during teachers' PPA time
• Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of all pupils
• Maintain positive behaviour in line with school policies
• Support pupils' academic progress and wellbeing
• Provide clear feedback to class teachers on pupil progress
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and senior leaders

Qualifications & Experience Required

• HLTA qualification or equivalent Level 4 qualification (essential)
• Proven experience working within a primary school setting
• Experience leading whole-class teaching
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A flexible, proactive, and professional approach

• Enhanced DBS check (registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply)
• Right to work in the UK
• Ability to meet safeguarding and recruitment compliance standards
