Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Special Needs School -Cambridge UK
Location: Cambridge, UK
Position Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Daily Rate: £105.64 to £115(depending on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner if available)
Simply Education is proud to be working in partnership with a Special Needs School in Cambridge to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).
This is a rewarding opportunity to support children with a range of complex and additional needs, and to contribute to a caring and inclusive school environment where every pupil is valued.
About the Role:
- Deliver learning activities for individuals and small groups under teacher guidance or independently.
- Support students with a range of SEND needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and behavioural challenges.
- Take a proactive role in the classroom and lead sessions when required.
- Assist in planning, preparation, and assessment of learning activities tailored to pupils' needs.
✅ Requirements:
- HLTA status or a relevant Level 4 qualification (e.g., Supporting Teaching and Learning).
- Proven experience working with children with special educational needs.
- Strong communication, behaviour management, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing needs.
- A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Simply Education.
