An outstanding primary school in Northamptonshire is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team as a Cover Supervisor. This full-time role offers the potential for a temporary-to-permanent contract, providing an excellent opportunity for professional growth and stability.

Role Responsibilities

As an HLTA Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise and support pupils across mixed year groups during the short-term absence of the class teacher.

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons, ensuring continuity in the learning process.

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies and procedures.

  • Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and any issues that arise during lessons.

  • Assist in the preparation and organisation of classroom materials and resources.

  • Support the social and emotional development of pupils, fostering a positive learning environment.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.

  • A Level 4 or higher qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.

  • Strong classroom management skills.

  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

  • A passion for education and supporting children's development.
