An outstanding primary school in Northamptonshire is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team as a Cover Supervisor. This full-time role offers the potential for a temporary-to-permanent contract, providing an excellent opportunity for professional growth and stability.
Role Responsibilities
As an HLTA Cover Supervisor, you will:
Supervise and support pupils across mixed year groups during the short-term absence of the class teacher.
Deliver pre-prepared lessons, ensuring continuity in the learning process.
Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies and procedures.
Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and any issues that arise during lessons.
Assist in the preparation and organisation of classroom materials and resources.
Support the social and emotional development of pupils, fostering a positive learning environment.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
A Level 4 or higher qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
Strong classroom management skills.
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
A passion for education and supporting children's development.
