Location: Congleton, Cheshire
Pay: £95 - £115 per day, dependent on payroll choice
Start Date: September 2025

The HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced HLTA to join our team. As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will work closely with the teaching staff to deliver high-quality lessons, providing tailored support to students with SEND and SEMH needs. You will assist in implementing individual learning plans and support students both academically and emotionally to help them achieve their best.
As an HLTA, you will:
- Provide in-class support to students, helping them engage with the curriculum.
- Work alongside teachers to deliver tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of students.
- Support students with SEND in their academic and emotional development.
- Lead small group sessions and support one-to-one learning when required.
- Monitor student progress, providing feedback to teachers and adjusting support as needed.
- Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Assist with the delivery of interventions and personalised learning plans.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of SEND and SEMH needs.
- A positive, proactive approach to supporting students.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and engage students.
- A relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
- A commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of students.
