Humanities Teacher - Immediate Start

Location: Stafford, Staffordshire Contract: Full‑time | Long‑term Start Date: Immediate Agency: Simply Education

Simply Education is seeking a committed and knowledgeable Humanities Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in the Stafford area. The school is looking for a teacher who can deliver engaging lessons across subjects such as History, Geography and Religious Studies, while helping pupils develop strong analytical, critical thinking and communication skills. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and confident ECTs.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Humanities subjects across KS3 and KS4, delivering well‑planned and engaging lessons

• Cover a range of topics within History, Geography and RS, depending on specialism

• Plan, deliver and assess learning in line with curriculum expectations

• Support pupils of mixed abilities through clear explanations and differentiated activities

• Encourage curiosity, debate and independent thinking in the classroom

• Maintain a positive, well‑managed learning environment

• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning

• Participate in wider school life, including duties, meetings, parents' evenings and CPD

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Strong subject knowledge across Humanities disciplines

• Ability to inspire and challenge learners through creative and structured teaching

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

• Confident classroom management and strong communication skills
