Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to students, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their potential. This role will involve working closely with teachers and other staff to support individual or small groups of students.
Key Responsibilities:
Support pupils with learning, including those with special educational needs (SEN) or disabilities.
Assist in the delivery of lessons and learning activities, both one-to-one and in small groups.
Encourage independence and self-confidence in students.
Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers.
Maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
Support pupils with social and behavioral development as appropriate.
Assist with administrative tasks related to pupil learning and progress.
Person Specification:
Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
Understanding of SEN and inclusive education is an advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are desirable but not essential.
