Job Advert: Learning Support Assistant - Nursery (Primary School, Suffolk)

Location: Suffolk
Start Date: Immediately after the half term break
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Pay: £90-£95 per day

We are looking for a dedicated and caring Learning Support Assistant to join our nursery team within a welcoming primary school in Suffolk. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about education and training, with a genuine desire to support the early development of children aged 3-4 years.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and other nursery practitioners to create a positive, nurturing environment that helps every child reach their full potential.

🌱 Responsibilities and Duties

As a nursery Learning Support Assistant, your duties will include:

  • Supporting the daily care, learning, and development of pupils aged 3-4
  • Assisting with implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
  • Creating engaging and stimulating learning activities tailored to individual needs
  • Helping to maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment
  • Encouraging children's independence, confidence, and social skills
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers
  • Supporting children with additional needs under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO

We are seeking someone who:

  • Is enthusiastic, nurturing, and patient
  • Has experience in early years education and training or relevant childcare experience
  • Understands the needs of children in the early stages of learning
  • Works well as part of a dedicated team
  • Holds a relevant qualification in childcare, early years, or education and training (desirable)
