We are seeking a committed and confident Maths Teacher for a long-term supply placement at a well-regarded secondary school based in Greenwich, starting after February half term until the end of the academic year.
The school has a strong academic reputation, clear behaviour expectations, and a supportive leadership team. The Maths department is well-structured and well-resourced, with a strong focus on high-quality teaching, consistency, and positive outcomes for students.
The role will involve:
Teaching Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4
Delivering engaging, well-planned lessons in line with departmental schemes of work
Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, progress, and safeguarding
Working collaboratively within a professional and supportive department
For the right candidate, there is scope for progression into a Head of Maths role, should this align with your longer-term career ambitions. This makes the post particularly attractive for an experienced teacher looking to develop leadership skills within a long-term placement.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A current enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
A secure understanding of safeguarding and child protection, with a clear commitment to promoting the welfare of children and young people
Recent experience teaching Maths at secondary level in the UK
Pay: In line with the Teachers' Pay Scale (via agency)
Contract: Long-term supply (February half term to end of academic year)
Location: Greenwich, South East London
All applicants will be subject to relevant safeguarding and compliance checks in line with current legislation.
