Job Title: Physical Education (PE) Teacher
Location: Braintree, Essex
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience and qualifications
Contract: Full-time or Part-time

About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher to join our team in Braintree. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspiring students of all abilities to achieve their potential in physical education, promoting healthy lifestyles, and fostering a lifelong love of sport and fitness.

As a PE teacher, you will deliver high-quality lessons across all Key Stages, using innovative teaching methods to engage students in a wide range of physical activities. You will be expected to plan, assess, and report on student progress, providing feedback that motivates and supports individual growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across multiple year groups and abilities.

  • Promote physical activity, health, and wellbeing across the school.

  • Lead and support extra-curricular sports clubs, teams, and activities.

  • Organise and supervise sporting events, competitions, and trips.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop the PE curriculum and ensure continuity of learning.

  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.

  • Encourage teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship in all students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for PE and sport.

  • Experience teaching across different age groups is preferred.

  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

  • Ability to motivate, inspire, and engage students in physical activity.

  • Willingness to contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities.

  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
