Primary Teacher - Year 7 (KS2 Curriculum)

Simply Education are recruiting on behalf of a specialist school in Surrey (Effingham) seeking a Primary Teacher to join their team as soon as possible on a temporary to permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Primary Teacher to teach a Year 7 class working at a Key Stage 2 curriculum level within a supportive specialist setting for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). The school follows a nurturing, structured approach, providing a smooth transition into secondary education using a primary model.

About the Role

The successful Primary Teacher will:

  • Teach a small Year 7 class following a KS2 curriculum pathway
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with ASC and SEND
  • Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and a multi-disciplinary team
  • Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and other statutory processes
  • Create a structured, safe and positive learning environment

This role would suit a dedicated Primary Teacher who thrives in a nurturing environment and is confident adapting learning to meet individual needs.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a Primary Teacher who:

  • Holds QTS (essential)
  • Has strong Key Stage 2 teaching experience
  • Has experience supporting pupils with ASC and/or SEND (specialist or mainstream)
  • Demonstrates excellent behaviour management with a calm, non-confrontational approach
  • Is passionate about inclusive education
