Primary Teacher (Year 3) - Sittingbourne

Simply Education are working with a welcoming primary school in Sittingbourne who are looking for a Primary Teacher to take on a Year 3 class. This is a great opportunity for a confident Key Stage 2 teacher who is looking for a role where they can make a real impact and become part of a supportive school team.

The school are keen to find someone who can provide consistency for the class and create a positive learning environment where pupils feel supported and engaged.

The Role

You will be responsible for teaching a Year 3 class and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum. The role will include full teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking, assessment and attending parents' evenings.

The school are particularly looking for a teacher with strong behaviour management who can set clear expectations and maintain a structured, supportive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum

  • Marking and assessing pupils' work

  • Maintaining strong behaviour management and clear classroom expectations

  • Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching where required

  • Attending parents' evenings and communicating effectively with parents and carers

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2

  • Strong behaviour management skills

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

  • A positive, reliable and proactive approach
