Simply Education is proud to be working in partnership with a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in King's Lynn, supporting them in the recruitment of a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a therapeutic and nurturing environment where education is tailored to meet the needs of children aged 5 to 16, many of whom have experienced barriers to learning in mainstream settings.
🌱 About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and resilient Science Teacher who can inspire curiosity and confidence in young learners. You will be teaching across Key Stages 2 to 4, delivering a broad and creative science curriculum in small classes with high levels of support.
🔍 Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging science lessons adapted to individual learning needs
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and pastoral staff
- Implement strategies to support students with SEMH needs
- Monitor and assess progress, adapting approaches where needed
✅ Requirements:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
- Experience teaching science across KS2-KS4
- Previous experience working in SEMH, SEND, or alternative provision (desirable)
- Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills
- Patience, adaptability, and a trauma-informed approach to teaching
- Willingness to undergo continued professional development
