The Opportunity

Simply Education are recruiting on behalf of a SEMH school in Crewe for a dedicated Science Teacher who is passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Science Teacher to deliver engaging and accessible lessons to pupils who benefit from a nurturing, structured, and consistent learning environment. As a Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in re-engaging students with education and helping them achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

The Science Teacher will:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated science lessons

  • Teach science across relevant key stages (KS3/KS4)

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils

  • Use trauma-informed and restorative behaviour strategies

  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs

  • Work collaboratively with pastoral and SEN teams

The Ideal Candidate

The successful Science Teacher will:

  • Hold QTS (or be working towards it)

  • Have strong subject knowledge across science

  • Demonstrate resilience, empathy, and patience

  • Be committed to inclusive and supportive education

  • Have a genuine desire to work within an SEMH setting
