An ambitious and well-regarded secondary school in Northampton is seeking a talented Humanities Teacher to join its dynamic and supportive team from September 2025.

This is an excellent opportunity to teach History, Geography, or Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for KS5 teaching depending on experience and subject specialism. You'll be part of a collaborative department that values subject knowledge, critical thinking, and creative teaching.

About the Role:

  • Teach Humanities subjects (History, Geography, or RE) across KS3-KS4

  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that inspire curiosity and debate

  • Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and resource development

  • Support the progress of all students through effective teaching and meaningful feedback

  • Take part in school trips, enrichment activities, and cross-curricular projects

  • Work closely with colleagues in the Humanities department and wider school community

What We're Looking For:

  • A degree in a Humanities subject (e.g. History, Geography, RE)

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching at secondary level (KS3-KS4 essential, KS5 desirable)

  • A commitment to high-quality teaching and inclusive education

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • A current Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
