SEN Class Teacher
Job description
Simply Education are looking for a dedicated, passionate SEN Teacher to support a school in Northamptonshire. The special school supports children and young people aged 4-18 and cater for pupils with a broad spectrum of complex needs, often with multiple special educational requirements.
We are seeking an exceptional teacher to join the school - someone who will be a true advocate for their pupils, helping them flourish and achieve their full potential.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Passionate about teaching and supporting children with complex needs
- Creative in their approach to learning, with a strong understanding of child development
- Experienced or confident in applying early years approaches
- Solution-focused, resilient, and ready to inspire and motivate pupils and families
Essential requirements:
- To hold or be actively working towards Qualified Teacher Status or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills
- To have achieved a qualification in English / literacy and mathematics / numeracy equivalent to at least a level 2 on the National Qualifications Framework.
- Experience of working with clear guidelines, procedures and adhering to child protection
- Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with a variety of colleagues across directorates and other agencies.
- Understanding of working with people with challenging behaviour / complex needs / disabilities.
- Ability to quickly establish relationships with young people, vulnerable people and families with complex needs.
