Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Contract Type: Full-Time | Term Time Only

Simply Education is currently seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join a dedicated and supportive special needs school in Peterborough. This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual committed to helping students with a range of learning difficulties and additional needs thrive both academically and personally.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with SEN
  • Develop and implement personalised Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in collaboration with other professionals
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Use a range of strategies to support communication, sensory integration, and behaviour management
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adapting teaching approaches as needed
  • Work closely with support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure holistic development of each pupil

🔹 What We are Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Previous experience teaching students with SEN in a specialist or mainstream setting
  • Strong understanding of a variety of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and MLD
  • Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
  • A nurturing, creative, and flexible approach to teaching
  • Full-time availability (Monday-Friday, term time)
