The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and compassionate SEN Teacher to join the school's dedicated teaching team. You will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to learners with a variety of needs, helping them develop essential skills, independence, and confidence.

This role would suit a qualified teacher with experience in special education, or a mainstream teacher looking to transition into a rewarding SEN teaching environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver personalised, engaging lessons for students with diverse learning needs
• Create a supportive, structured, and positive classroom environment
• Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals
• Use a range of strategies and resources to support communication, sensory needs, and behaviour
• Track and assess pupil progress, adapting plans to meet individual targets
• Build strong relationships with students and their families
• Promote independence, emotional wellbeing, and social development

About You

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching in a SEN setting or a strong interest in moving into SEND
• Understanding of learning difficulties, communication needs, and positive behaviour approaches
• Creative, adaptable, and able to differentiate learning effectively
• Patient, resilient, and committed to inclusive education
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
