A specialist provision in Stockport is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to support its small, nurturing cohort of pupils with diverse additional needs, including SEMH, autism, and complex learning barriers. This is a long-term position with the strong potential to transition into a permanent post for the right candidate.

The Role
You will:
- Deliver high-quality, personalised teaching to small groups
- Support learners' academic, emotional, and social development
- Create a consistent, structured environment in line with SEND and SEMH best practice
- Collaborate closely with support staff and wider professionals
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding and professional conduct
- Promote equality, diversity, and British values throughout your practice
Person Specification
- QTS/QTLS or a willingness to work towards a recognised teaching qualification
- Experience in SEND, SEMH, alternative provision, or specialist environments (advantageous)
- Strong skills in English, Maths, or Science (Grade C/4 or above)
- Ability to engage, de-escalate, and motivate pupils with varied needs
- Resilience, adaptability, and a solution-focused approach
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organisational and planning abilities
