Teacher - Alternative Provision (SEMH)
Location: Ely
Contract: Full-time
Simply Education is recruiting a committed and resilient Teacher to work within an alternative mainstream provision in Ely, supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about inclusion and skilled at building positive relationships with pupils who may face barriers to learning in a mainstream environment.
The Role:
Deliver engaging, structured lessons tailored to pupils with SEMH needs
Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement in learning
Create a calm, consistent, and supportive classroom environment
Work closely with pastoral staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
Promote positive behaviour and personal development
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
Experience supporting children with SEMH needs
Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
A patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach
Ability to motivate and inspire pupils who may be disengaged from education
