Are you an experienced and compassionate SEN Teacher looking for flexible teaching opportunities across Gravesend and Dartford?

We are working with a range of primary schools and specialist provisions that require confident and dedicated SEN Teachers to support pupils with a variety of additional needs. These roles can be day-to-day supply, short-term cover or longer-term placements, depending on your availability and preferences.

This is a fantastic opportunity for teachers who are passionate about inclusive education and want the flexibility to work in different settings while making a genuine impact.

The Role

You will be teaching and supporting pupils with a range of needs, which may include ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and moderate to severe learning difficulties. Roles may be based within mainstream schools (supporting SEN units or small groups) or within specialist provisions.

Depending on the assignment length, responsibilities may include:

  • Delivering tailored lessons to meet individual EHCP targets

  • Planning and adapting resources to support different learning needs

  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants and SENCOs

  • Creating a structured, nurturing and safe learning environment

  • Monitoring progress and providing feedback where required

For day-to-day roles, planning is often provided. For longer-term placements, planning and marking may be expected.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching pupils with special educational needs, either in mainstream or specialist settings

  • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills

  • A patient, adaptable and resilient approach

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

  • Flexibility to travel across Gravesend and Dartford

  • Availability to start as soon as possible once vetting checks have been completed

Pay

Daily rates range from £120 to £170 per day, depending on experience and pay scale alignment.

If you are looking for flexible SEN teaching work within supportive schools and specialist settings, I would be happy to have a conversation about what you're looking for and how we can support you.
