SEN Teacher (KS2) - Therapeutic SEMH Provision
Location: Halifax-area, West Yorkshire
Salary: £150 - £200 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent, Term-time only
Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier for the right candidate)

Simply Education is proud to be supporting a specialist SEMH/SEND provision in the Halifax area that caters to children aged 7-18 with complex needs, including trauma, SEMH, ASC, and communication challenges. The setting delivers a bespoke curriculum designed to promote emotional regulation, life skills, and academic progress in a safe and structured environment.

Due to ongoing growth, the provision is seeking an experienced SEN Teacher (KS2) who can deliver a tailored primary curriculum and interventions within a nurturing, trauma-informed model of education.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver a differentiated KS2 curriculum to pupils with EHCPs

  • Create a structured and engaging learning environment that supports behaviour and emotional regulation

  • Integrate therapeutic and pastoral approaches in everyday teaching

  • Work closely with support staff, therapists, and senior leaders

  • Implement and review personalised plans and progress targets

  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding and pastoral care


We're Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS or QTLS) with experience in SEN or Alternative Provision

  • Strong knowledge of the primary national curriculum (KS2 focus)

  • Experience supporting students with SEMH, ASC, ADHD, or complex trauma

  • Emotionally resilient and able to foster a sense of safety and trust

  • A nurturing, adaptive and trauma-informed teaching style
