Exciting Opportunity! Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant Needed ASAP

This incredible SEMH school provides a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

Location: Medway
Hours: Full-Time, with flexibility for the right candidate (Monday to Friday)
Start Date: As soon as possible

About the Role:
We're seeking a passionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join this fantastic school. You'll play a vital role in supporting students both academically and emotionally, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting students one-to-one or in small groups to meet their individual learning needs.
  • Assisting in the delivery of a tailored curriculum designed to develop both academic and life skills.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and building strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Working closely with teachers and other staff to ensure every child has the support they need to thrive.
  • Helping students develop resilience, confidence, and independence.


We're seeking someone who is:

  • Compassionate, patient, and passionate about working with young people.
  • Experienced in supporting children with SEN or SEMH needs (desirable but not essential - training is available).
  • A team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptable and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
