Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:
- Support children with a range of special educational needs (SEN) on a one-to-one or small group basis.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement tailored learning plans and strategies.
- Assist in the development of learning resources and classroom materials to ensure accessibility for all pupils.
- Promote an inclusive learning environment where all children feel confident and supported.
- Monitor and record progress of students, providing feedback to the class teacher and parents where appropriate.
- Support students with personal care and other individual needs as required.
- Encourage independence, social skills, and positive behavior.
Key Requirements:
- Experience working with children, preferably with special educational needs (SEN).
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting children with diverse needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
- Knowledge of SEN provisions and strategies to support a range of needs (autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, etc.).
- A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to adapt to the needs of individual students.
- A relevant qualification such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
