Hours: Monday-Friday (Full-Time, Permanent)
Requirement: Full UK Driving Licence
About the School
Simply Education is proud to be working in partnership with a specialist SEN school located in Royston, on the Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire border. The school supports children and young people aged 2-19 years with Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD).

The Role
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and committed Teaching Assistant to join this dedicated team on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for individuals with mainstream or SEND experience who are looking for a rewarding, long-term opportunity within a specialist setting.
You will support pupils with a range of additional and complex needs. Due to the rural location of the school and potential off-site activities, a full UK driving licence is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with MLD/SLD in the classroom, one-to-one, and in small groups
- Assist teachers in delivering individualised learning programmes and structured daily routines
- Promote pupils' independence, confidence, and engagement
- Support behaviour management strategies and maintain a positive, calm learning environment
- Build strong and supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
About You
- Experience working with children or young people (school, childcare, or community settings)
- Patient, resilient, and compassionate, with a flexible and proactive approach
- Confident supporting pupils with additional or complex needs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Holds a full UK driving licence
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
