Simply Education are currently working closely with their client to recruit an experienced SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our clients school in the Sandhills area. If you're passionate about helping young people reconnect with learning and rediscover their confidence, this is a role where you can truly change lives.

You will be working in one of the groups hubs (AP) where education is personalised and flexible. You'll support learning through, one‑to‑one sessions and small group work. You'll work with children and young people aged 7 to 19, many of whom may be "lost to learning" or "hard to place". We specialise in creating personalised pathways for those who struggle in mainstream settings, ensuring they receive the encouragement, structure and opportunities they deserve.

You don't need to be a highly experienced Teaching Assistant to be successful in this role. If you have experience working with children or young people (paid or voluntary), our client can provide the right environment and training for you to thrive.

Requirements:

• Ability to motivate and inspire children to believe in themselves.
• GCSE Maths and English (minimum Functional Skills Level 2).
• A proactive, can‑do mindset with the ability to think creatively and adaptive.
• Willingness to take advantage of their excellent free training opportunities (e.g. Level 2 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) if not already achieved.
• Ability to promote independence, positive behaviour, and personal development.
• A creative approach that enables you to tailor learning activities to meet individual needs.
• Having a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred for transporting learners to various locations.
