We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school located in the beautiful village of Wilburton, Cambridgeshire.

About the Role:

You will work closely with experienced teachers and support staff to help students achieve their full potential-academically, socially, and emotionally. This is a long-term opportunity to become a valued member of a passionate team that puts the wellbeing and progress of every child at the heart of everything they do.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with a range of special educational needs

  • Assist in creating a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment

  • Support students on a 1:1 or small group basis, as required

  • Help manage behaviour in line with school policies and build strong, trusting relationships

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, ideally within an SEMH setting (desirable but not essential)

  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

  • A team player with a genuine passion for supporting young people

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
