SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Croydon, South London
Start Date: September 2025 (or ASAP)
Contract: Full-Time | Term-Time Only | Long-Term or Permanent

Simply Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children in a friendly and inclusive primary school in Croydon.
This is a rewarding role for someone who is patient, proactive, and committed to helping children with additional needs reach their full potential.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN, including autism (ASD), ADHD, speech & language needs, and learning difficulties
- Support children in KS1 and KS2 with their academic, social, and emotional development
- Adapt resources and activities to meet individual needs
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored learning plans
- Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a primary school setting
- A nurturing, patient, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of KS1 and KS2 learning environments is desirable
- Relevant SEN training (e.g., Makaton, PECS, Team Teach) is an advantage but not essential
