Simply Education is working in partnership with a forward-thinking specialist autism school in Lambeth to recruit a passionate and dedicated English Teacher for a full-time role starting in September. The school supports students aged 11-19 with autism and is based in a purpose-built facility, offering excellent resources and a highly supportive environment.

The Role
As an English Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, accessible English lessons tailored to the needs of autistic learners
  • Foster a safe, structured and supportive classroom environment
  • Contribute to the wider aims and ethos of the school, supporting pupils' independence and life skills
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-professional team to provide individualised learning experiences
  • Demonstrate high standards of teaching, behaviour management and inclusivity

Who We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching English, ideally with an understanding of autism or SEN
  • A creative, patient and resilient approach to education
  • A strong team player, open to professional development
  • A good sense of humour and a genuine commitment to inclusive education
