Fully Qualified Teacher (SEND)

Full-time, Term-time Only - Starting January
Permanent Position

About the School

We are a caring, inclusive and vibrant special school for children and young people aged 2-19, supporting a wide spectrum of needs including moderate to severe learning difficulties, autism and complex additional needs.
Our purpose-built setting includes specialist facilities such as a nursery base, post-16 provision, soft-play area, hydrotherapy pool, multi-sensory room, IT and music suites, and a large sports hall - enabling us to deliver a rich, stimulating and personalised curriculum.

The Role

We are seeking an inspiring, committed and flexible Fully Qualified Teacher to join our team from January.
In this role, you will:

  • Plan, deliver and adapt high-quality lessons tailored to pupils' individual learning needs.
  • Create a nurturing, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and other professionals to support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
  • Use a range of strategies to promote communication, independence and positive behaviour.
  • Support the safeguarding and well-being of all pupils.

Candidate Profile

We welcome applications from teachers who:

  • Hold QTS/QTLS and have a strong commitment to SEND education.
  • Are creative, patient and resilient, with a child-centred approach.
  • Can differentiate learning effectively for pupils with diverse and complex needs.
  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Are dedicated to maintaining high expectations for all learners.
  • Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

SEND experience is highly desirable but not essential - comprehensive training and support will be provided.
