SEND Teaching Assistant

Job description

SEND Teaching Assistant - Rochester

Are you an experienced SEND TA looking for a role where you can genuinely make a difference?

We're working with a number of supportive primary and secondary schools across Rochester who are looking for dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to join them on a full-time basis. These roles are five days a week, as the pupils require consistency and routine - so reliability and commitment are key.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the flexibility of agency work but still wants the stability of consistent placements.

The role:

  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs, either 1:1 or in small groups

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO

  • Creating a calm, supportive and engaging learning environment

  • Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience supporting children with SEND in mainstream or special school settings

  • Holds an Enhanced DBS (or is willing to obtain one)

  • Is flexible and able to travel to schools across the local area

  • Is patient, proactive and confident managing a range of needs

What's on offer:

  • Competitive daily pay

  • Consistent, full-time placements

  • The flexibility and support of working with an agency

  • Opportunities across a variety of schools and settings

If you're passionate about supporting children with additional needs and want a role where you can have real impact, we'd love to hear from you.
