About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of special educational needs. You will play a vital role in helping students engage with learning, build confidence, and develop important life skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students in the classroom on a one-to-one or small group basis
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Help adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
- Support students with social interaction and independence
- Contribute to a safe, supportive, and positive school environment
What We're Looking For
- A caring, patient, and positive attitude
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEN
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliability and a proactive approach to supporting learning
- Previous experience working with children or young people (preferred but not essential)
