📍 Location: Gravesend
💼 Role: SEND Teaching Assistant (Supporting students with ASD and complex needs)
💰 Pay: £90 - £110 per day

We are now recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to start in Spring 2025 - a rewarding role where you'll make a lasting impact by supporting students with diverse learning needs in both academic and personal development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored one-to-one and group support to pupils with ASD and complex needs.

  • Help adapt and deliver lesson activities in collaboration with teaching staff.

  • Maintain a nurturing, inclusive, and structured learning environment.

  • Promote positive behaviour and student engagement using proven strategies.

  • Work with SENCOs, teachers, and external agencies to develop and review IEPs.

  • Support with personal care, ensuring dignity and comfort for all students.

  • Encourage independence and life skills through daily activities and routines.


Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience working with children with SEND (especially ASD and complex needs) is a strong advantage, but not essential.

  • Empathetic, calm, and resilient, with a genuine passion for helping young learners.

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamworking.

  • Open to learning, with a proactive mindset and willingness to complete training.

  • Familiarity with tools like PECS, Makaton, or sensory-based approaches is a bonus.
