Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Simply Education is looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This role is based in a specialist setting that caters to both primary and secondary-aged students with Autism.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in delivering tailored support to students, helping them access learning in a way that celebrates their individual strengths and needs. Whether you're working 1:1 or in small groups, you'll have the chance to witness those "lightbulb" moments that make this role so rewarding.

While prior experience supporting students with additional needs is desirable, it's not essential-we offer full training and ongoing professional development to ensure you're confident and well-prepared.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with students.
  • Support students with Autism in their learning and personal development.
  • Be kind, patient, and understanding in your approach.
  • Adapt to changing routines and demonstrate flexibility.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and students-and bring a sense of humour!

Why Work in a SEND Setting?

  • Smaller class sizes allow for deeper connections with students.
  • Gain invaluable hands-on experience and insight into SEND education.
  • Access free training and CPD opportunities.
  • Experience daily fulfilment by making a real difference in a young person's life.

Why Choose Simply Education?

  • Dedicated Support: Your SEND Consultant, Emma (a qualified teacher and SENCo), will support you every step of the way.
  • 24/7 Access: Reach your consultant anytime by phone, text, or email.
  • Exclusive Training: Free SEND-focused training courses, including Autism Awareness, De-escalation Strategies, and Behaviour Management.
  • Competitive Pay: We offer transparent, competitive daily rates.
  • Hassle-Free Admin: No timesheets-Simply Education handles all payroll admin on your behalf.
  • Effortless Booking: Receive booking confirmations and school directions via SMS and email. Manage availability through your online diary.
  • Referral Rewards: Refer a friend and earn up to £500 in Amazon vouchers (terms apply).
