Simply Education is working with a specialist school providing tailored support for diverse learning needs that supports students aged 7-16 with autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties, speech, language and communication needs (SLCN), and associated behavioural challenges.

We are seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic specalist learning assistant to join this dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mainstream experience who is looking to transition into a SEND environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils one-to-one and in small groups, helping them access tailored learning programmes.
• Assist with daily routines and encourage independence and confidence.
• Promote positive behaviour and help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to meet each pupil's individual needs.

About You

• Experience working with children or young people (school, care, or youth settings).
• Patient, compassionate, and resilient, with a proactive approach to learning support.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
• Adaptable and creative in supporting diverse learning and behavioural needs.
