Supply Teacher
Job description
Supply Teacher - Primary Schools
Gravesend & Dartford
Are you a confident and adaptable Primary Teacher looking for flexible work across Gravesend and Dartford? We are working closely with a range of supportive and well-established primary schools who require reliable supply teachers to cover short-term, day-to-day and longer-term absences.
This is an excellent opportunity for teachers who enjoy variety, want to gain experience in different school settings, or are looking for a better work-life balance without stepping away from the classroom.
The Role
You will be delivering engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, depending on your experience and preferences. Most day-to-day bookings will involve delivering pre-planned lessons, with planning and marking typically not required. However, for longer-term placements, there may be an expectation to take on planning, preparation and marking responsibilities.
You will be expected to:
Quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Maintain strong behaviour management and classroom presence
Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures
Adapt confidently to different year groups and school environments
Travel to a range of schools across Gravesend and Dartford
Assignments can range from single days to longer-term roles, with flexible working days available to suit your availability.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Recent experience teaching within UK primary schools
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
Flexibility to travel to different schools locally
Availability to start as soon as possible once vetting checks have been completed
Pay
Daily rates range from £120 to £170 per day, depending on experience and pay scale alignment.
If you are looking for flexible teaching opportunities within supportive primary schools and would like to discuss what's available, I'd welcome a conversation about how we can help.
